What is PICKBLOCK?
PICKBLOCK is an innovative feed block designed for poultry to peck. It supports the natural behaviour of rearing laying hens, broilers and turkeys.
Produced using high-quality cereals and minerals PICKBLOCK offers poultry a destructible and ingestible form of stimulation that effectively limits abnormal behaviour such as feather pecking and cannibalism.
Manufactured under pressure and without the need for chemical hardening agents, the compact firm structure of PICKBLOCK ensures optimum, sustainable pre-occupation of poultry.
Features and benefits
QUALITY ASSURED: All PICKBLOCK products are certified as animal feed (GMP+ FSA secured). An HACCP concept is integrated into the good manufacturing practice. This ensures that all PICKBLOCK products are regularly tested for undesirable substances (including dioxin, heavy metals, etc.). In addition, active monitoring is carried out in accordance with paragraph 2 (2) of the Poultry Salmonella regulation.
HANDY: The hole in the middle makes the 5 kg PICKBLOCK very handy. The PICKBLOCK can be easily hung up or fixed in place.
HARD STRUCTURE: PICKBLOCK is manufactured in a carefully controlled efficient production process without the addition of chemical hardening agents. The compact, solid structure is essentially achieved by means of high mechanical pressure.
CAN ONLY BE PECKED: The hard, durable strength of PICKBLOCK ensures that animals often consume small amounts, resulting in low consistent intakes.
FIBRE COMPONENTS: The fibrous fine and coarse components (including cereal grains) create a strong visual appeal for the poultry.
NO CHEMICAL BINDERS: No chemical binders are used to cure the products.
CONSISTENT INTAKES: Daily intakes are consistent at a maximum of 3 g per head/day.
INCREASED AGILITY: The consistent low intakes and regular pecking of PICKBLOCK occupies the animal resulting in a lasting positive effect of well being. They are much more agile, reward-oriented and more in motion.
PICKBLOCK MEDIUM
The hardness of the PICKBLOCK MEDIUM is adapted to a slightly lower pecking frequency and intensity, making it particularly suitable for broilers. It is offered as activity material for poultry in addition to the daily feed ration. PICKBLOCK MEDIUM meets the current requirements for animal welfare in poultry farming. Due to its natural components, PICKBLOCK should be protected from moisture by placing it on a base.

PICKBLOCK LONGLIFE
The hardness of the PICKBLOCK LONGLIFE is adapted to the relatively high pecking frequency and intensity of the animal, making it particularly suitable for rearing young laying hens and turkeys. It is offered as a activity material for poultry in addition to the daily feed ration.
It can be offered in the scratch room or in the winter garden.
PICKBLOCK LONGLIFE meets the current requirements for animal welfare in poultry farming. Due to its natural components, PICKBLOCK should be protected from moisture by placing it on a base.
PICKBLOCK LONGLIFE is available as a 5 kg or 10 kg block.

PICKBLOCK NATURAL
PICKBLOCK Natural is suitable for young and laying hens as well as for broilers and turkeys.
PICKBLOCK Natural can be used in organic production according to Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and EC 889/2008 (produced under control of the DE organic inspection body DE-ÖKO-039).
PICKBLOCK Natural is offered in organic animal husbandry as a material for poultry to supplement the daily feed ration. It can be offered in the scratch room or in the winter garden. Due to its natural components, PICKBLOCK Natural should be protected from moisture by placing it on a base.
